Inventory ready for June 23 handbag auction

For our Hats, Handbags & History fundraiser 2-4 p.m. on June 23, we have collected a nice range of never-used designer handbags as well as gently used handbags. So we do not need further donations.
But we do still need the afternoon loan of cake stands, enough to accommodate all tables of guests.
Purses already gathered will go up for silent auction June 23 at Hats, Handbags & History, with all proceeds going to fund Friends projects.
Admission to the event is free, while bidding in the auction is optional.
The event’s format is an afternoon tea in the museum’s special-events room, with a lecture by guest curator Karan Feder on the history of handbags as well as a temporary display of historical hats and handbags from the museum’s collection, which have been rarely if ever viewed by the public.
Wear your favorite hat, head veil, fascinator or tiara. We will award a prize for the best headdress!
To loan a cake stand, please email Friends secretary Sarah Hulme, at sarah@nsmlv.org.
